Randy and I went up to Amish Country in Lancaster, PA. It was so much fun and a neat experience! It was fun to explore and learn about a different culture. It brought back many memories of an Amish town my family and I always visited in Kentucky whenever we went to Illinois to visit my dad's side of the family. We looked at a lot of furniture shops- of course we wanted to come home with some but we didn't. Someday! We ate at this amazing restaurant- entirely family style- you eat at this long table with families you don't know and they bring out all of these home made meals! YUM! The family we sat with was so nice and the mom was hilarious. We went to church there and upon leaving the church to go on our way back home, we drove past a strawberry field and saw people picking strawberries. Of course we pulled over!! We picked about...7-8lbs of freshly picked strawberries- so delicious. I still have some frozen here- thinking about making strawberry jam! We also went on a horse carriage tour and saw a real Amish farm- pretty neat!
